VEED alternative
A VEED alternative for subtitles in Indian languages.
VEED is a full video editor in the browser, and one of the few that already shows Indian visitors prices in rupees. Subtitles are one feature among many there, and its free plan reflects that: 10 minutes of auto subtitles a month, 720p exports with a watermark, and no subtitle file download.
If subtitles are the whole job, AutoCap is built around them: a time on every word, Indian scripts drawn properly, romanised Hinglish, and subtitle files on a cheaper plan.
What you get
Subtitle files for less
SRT and VTT downloads come with every paid AutoCap plan, starting at ₹399 a month, about ₹351 a month billed yearly.
Free exports at 2K
The free plan's exports are watermarked, but they are not shrunk: they render at up to 2K, the same as a paid export.
Gujarati, Kannada and Odia
All 12 languages are transcribed in their own scripts, including the ones that broad-language tools are least likely to list.

Questions
Is VEED free for subtitles?
Its free plan includes 10 minutes of auto subtitles a month, with 720p, watermarked exports and no subtitle file download. AutoCap's free plan has less transcription time, but exports at up to 2K.
Which has the better video editor?
VEED, if you need a general editor: it does far more than captions. AutoCap is a caption editor, so the usual workflow is to cut elsewhere and caption here.
Is AutoCap priced in rupees too?
Yes, and only in rupees. Plans are paid by UPI, card or netbanking through Razorpay, and auto-renewal can be stopped from your account in one click.
