Hinglish is not Hindi with English words dropped in — it is a language people think in. A sentence starts in Hindi, lands on an English noun, takes a Hindi verb ending, and every listener follows it without effort.
English-first transcription hears that switch as noise. It either forces the Hindi into English-sounding nonsense or drops it. Neither is fixable with a spellchecker, because the model never heard the word in the first place.

Questions
Will it keep my English words in English?
Yes. Romanised output writes the Hindi in Latin script and leaves English words as English, which is how Hinglish captions are normally written. Native-script output writes Hindi in Devanagari and keeps English words in Latin.
How accurate is it on fast, mixed speech?
Good enough that editing is a pass, not a rewrite — and every word stays editable, so accuracy is a starting point rather than a verdict. Timings come per word from the model, so highlights land on the beat.
Does it work for Tanglish or Gujlish too?
Yes. The same code-mixed handling covers 12 Indian languages, so Tamil-English, Gujarati-English and the rest are transcribed as one sentence rather than split.
