A subtitle file is only as good as its timings. Auto-generated SRTs usually fail in the same way: the text is broadly right, but the cues drift, so by the third minute a line appears a beat after it is spoken.

That happens when timings are inferred from a block of text. Here they come per word from the model, and you can see and fix them on a timeline before the file is written.

Questions

What is the difference between SRT and VTT?

SRT is the older, most widely accepted format — YouTube, Premiere and Resolve all take it. VTT is the web standard used by HTML video players and supports a little more styling. Both are exported from the same transcript here.

Can I fix the transcript before exporting the file?

That is the point of the editor: every word is editable and every timing adjustable, and the exported file is written from what you corrected.

Which languages can I generate subtitle files for?

12 languages — Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Indian English, each in its own script. All but Urdu and English can also be romanised or translated into English.
